You do not need some giant professionally designed publishing deck before you begin.
But it helps to have the basic stuff sitting in front of you.
Depending on what you are parking, you may want:
- A clear title
- Your best photographs, book covers, illustrations or graphics
- A short explanation of who you are or what you are writing about
- Your book, story, project, service, subject or idea
- What you want somebody to understand, read, watch, buy or do next
- Your price, offer or fundraising goal if you have one
- Contact information you are comfortable publishing
- Your website, YouTube, podcast, newsletter or social-media links
- Up to two supported video links if video helps tell the story
Five minutes gathering the basics first usually makes the rest a whole lot easier.

If you are not already signed in, the site will ask you to create an account or access the one you already have.
Creating the account itself is free.
👤 STEP 2 — CREATE OR ACCESS YOUR ACCOUNT
Enter the requested information and create your password.
You may be asked to verify your email address.
Your account gives you a place to:
- Create Parking Spots
- Edit and update your active Parking Spots
- Manage your public Writers Freak profile
- Receive and respond to messages
- See the Parking Spots connected to your Garage

⭐ STEP 3 — PICK THE CATEGORY THAT ACTUALLY FITS
Choose the category that best matches what you are parking.
Writers Freak is built around areas such as:

- 🎬 Scripts, Screenwriting & Storytelling

You do not need to make this complicated.
If you are an author, your entire page might basically be:
“Here’s my book.
Here’s what I wrote.
Here’s what it’s about.
Here’s where you can find it.
If you want to know more, contact me.”
Maybe you are building a Parking Spot around one particular article, podcast, video, story, service or strange subject you spent way too much time researching.
Fine.
Build a Parking Spot around that one thing.
Make it clear.
Make it useful.
Make it sound like you.
Use AI if it helps you organize the page.
Just read the finished thing before you publish it. 😂
✅ STEP 5 — LOOK AT THE THING BEFORE YOU PUBLISH IT
Take one more look at your Parking Spot.
Check:
- The title
- Photographs and image order
- Your story, project, subject, service or offer
- What you want somebody to understand or do next
- Pricing where applicable
- Event dates or deadlines
- Video and website links
- Contact information
- The call to action
- Spelling and obvious mistakes
If somebody contacted you five minutes after reading the page, would you know what they were talking about?
If yes, you’re probably in pretty good shape.

Once you complete the submission and purchase process, your Parking Spot publishes and receives its own page and shareable URL.
Now do something with it.
You can:
- Put the URL in a YouTube description
- Mention it during a podcast or livestream
- Send it directly to readers, reviewers, publishers, agents, clients or somebody who might care about the subject
- Share it on Facebook, Instagram, X or LinkedIn
- Put it on your website
- Add it to a newsletter
- Text it to somebody
- Turn it into a QR code
- Send it to people who ask about your book, story, podcast, project, service, business or subject
If you already have an audience, tell them what you built.
If you have one particular book, story, article, podcast, video or project you want more people to find, send the Parking Spot to people who might actually care.
If you are a writing-related business, share the page that explains what you offer.

🔄 STEP 8 — KEEP IT CURRENT
Come back and update the Parking Spot when something important changes.
Maybe:
- Your book price changes
- You change what you are offering
- The book, article, podcast, video or project is published
- The event happened
- The fundraiser reached its goal
- New information changes the story
- Your contact information changed
- You have new photographs, videos or information to add
If something changes, update it.
If the page has finished doing its job, replace the information with something current or remove the Parking Spot if you no longer want it.
Don’t leave dead information sitting there forever confusing people.
